We are all born with uninhibited creativity. But most of it is lost by the time we are six or seven. Society wants us to conform, and our educational system doesn’t nurture creativity in our children enough to really keep the inhibitions alive. Kids need to be sure of themselves, confident enough to try new ideas.

Art activities are just as important as reading lessons.

I’ve been teaching kids to read for over 25 years, and also have a Master’s Degree in Art Education. My stories use research-based methods to improve phonics skills and literacy. But don’t let your kids know that. I just want them to have fun! I hope you’ll return often, I’m just starting this site, and welcome any comments!
